SONS OF THE FATHER EMAIL NEWSLETTER

Issue#305

Greetings in The Lord from Les, Chris, Ellen, Brent, and Ola Snyder.  School is almost out, everyone is planting gardens, attending graduations, and getting ready for summer activities with family.  We hope this newsletter finds you enjoying one or all of the above.

In July, Sons of The Father will have been on the road for 21 years singing and spreading the gospel across the United States.  Already this year we have been involved in 59 services in 5 states, including bible conferences, revivals, a college chapel, an RV park, a senior adult resort, a senior adult rally, a senior adult revival, a mission fundraiser, and a national day of prayer rally.  Coming up very soon for us is the graduation ceremony for Luther Rice Seminary being held at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, GA, a Habitat For Humanity Fundraiser, recording the tracks for a new CD, and the National Campers on Mission Rally.  We feel blessed to be used by God in so many different types of events throughout the year.

As you can see below our schedule does have a few holes through until the end of the year that need filling.  Pastors/Staff please keep us in mind when scheduling your next concert, revival, or any special events.  Our earliest need is for concerts around the SBC Convention in Orlando, FL.  We are responsible for our own convention expenses and for us to attend we need to be able to minister in several places along the way.

Sons of The Father will begin a new recording in a couple of weeks.  We are always excited about beginning a new recording.  The creative process is fun as you either take other songs and tweak them to make them your own or even more so when you take your own original material and make it into something that will be heard by, and hopefully minister to, many people over the coming years.  Brent has written 8 of the 12 songs that we have planned for this one.  We would appreciate your prayers about this endeavor as we continue to try to improve the quality of what we do and want to always be the very best that we can be.

2009 was a tough year for our ministry as we lost our most dedicated supporter, wife, and mother.  Also, as most of you know, we had problems with our travel vehicle. We blew the 700,000 mile engine, had it overhauled, only to blow again after 300 miles.  Besides the $13,000 engine repair, there were additional expenses of $8,000 to fix and replace other parts that would've caused later issues (a new radiator among other things).

We want to thank you for your prayer support of our ministry as we continue to try to find and do His will for our lives.  Sons of The Father would also like to ask that you continue to pray and pass this newsletter on to as many as possible who will also pray.  Here are some specific things that we need you to join us in prayer about:

Finances for the new recording $10,000

Finances to pay for the bus repairs $11,000 ($10,000 of the need has already been met by individuals and churches)

 Three Day Revivals
In the past several years Sons of The Father have been involved in several weekend revivals that have been very successful.  Starting on Friday night and going through Sunday morning, these three-service revivals have been both unique and refreshing.  Attendance has been good as it's a shorter time for people to take off from other things and the results have been good.  It is also a more intense focus with all three services taking place in less than 42 hours (Fri. 7pm to Sunday 1pm).  Some churches have done a special Saturday event such as a fish fry at noon or cookout as well.  With Sons of The Father doing each service it is also a very "different" set of services as they incorporate more music and either quoted scripture sermons or giving their testimonies.  It has also helped with the financing of the revival for smaller churches when they use SOF to do the whole revival.  If you have any interest in booking a weekend revival please call or email now before fall dates fill up.
Thanks for your interest in our ministry...

That does it for this issue.  You can keep us with us as always at sonsofthefather.com or facebook.com/sonsofthefather
