GREETINGS in The Lord from Les, Sandy, Chris, Ellen, Brent, and Ola Snyder. Happy New Year!!!!  2008 is here!!!  Wait, really? Weren't we just worried about Y2K last year??  It's crazy I know, it still feels like 2001 to me but I guess it's just another sign that I'm getting old!!  Want yet another sign?? Sons of The Father have begun their 19th year of full-time ministry!!!  During that time we've averaged 225 services and 45,000 miles a year.  Here we are 4,275 services and 855,000 miles later and we're still going strong!

SOF is looking forward to another year of concerts, revivals, and Bible conferences.  There are still holes to fill as always this time of year as churches and events are still being planned.  Please keep us in mind for your event.*

Here are a few key events you may want to put on your calendar if you're in the area:

Phil Willis Celebration, Baton Rouge, LA (Jan 19)

The Villages of Lady Lake, FL (Jan 30)

Princeton, KY Bible Conference (Feb 4)

Mid-America Bible Conference, Attwood, IL (May 2-5)

MONTHLY HUMOR

[From PREACHING magazine]

When an agnostic dies, does he go to the "great perhaps"?

Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

Do you think Houdini ever locked his keys in his car?

Can atheists get insurance for acts of God?

If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?

Isn't it strange that the same people who laugh at fortune tellers take
economists seriously?

If practice makes perfect, and nobody's perfect, why practice?

Why is there always one in every crowd?

If all the world is a stage, where does the audience sit?

Is it possible to have deja vu and amnesia at the same time?

How do you know when it's time to tune your bagpipes?

FAMILY UPDATE

The biggest criticism of our newsletters has been that we don't say enough about our families and how they're doing.  Mom continues to plug along with a list of too many illnesses to mention.  She has her good days and bad and really appreciates your prayers and cards.  Her email address is sandy@sonsofthefather.com I'm sure she'd love to hear from you, though sometimes she can't see well enough to read so please don't take offense if she is unable to respond.

Chris' wife (Ellen) continues to teach at the Christian school in DuQuoin as she has for the last 11 years.  Their son Clayton is now 6 and their daughter Natalie is 4.  Clayton is involved in Awana and cruising through the material so fast they're having to order extra books for him.  Natalie is in school now also and is turning into such a beautiful little girl.  She and Eliana (Brent's 2 year old) are becoming fast friends.  Brent's wife (Ola) is staying at home with Eliana and doing some accounting work on the side.

THANKS FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS FOR OUR MINISTRY

That'll do it for this issue.

In His Grip,

Brent Snyder
