Brent & Ola's
1yr old niece in Russia has been diagnosed
with cancer (in a tumor on her bottom, in
her lymph nodes, in her chest). Please
pray for Anna and her family. We've
started a group on Facebook to help enlist
people to pray and to update on her
progress.

Bus is now being repaired and will be fixed
under warranty but we don't know if it will
be in time for our FL trip. Please
continue to pray. |

Still no timetable on
the bus repair. Please pray for the
repair to be done fore late January as we'll
be heading out for almost a month.m
Thanks to the Pastor's
challenge on Facebook, more than $9,000 has
been raised.for
the $13,300 bus repair!

EVENT PLANNING 101
"The more people you
involve in planning an event, the more people will feel a
vested interest in seeing it become a success. This is
a very basic truth that many leaders just don't get.
They try too often to plan and pull off an event all by
themselves."
"It's a proven fact that
adding food to an event will up your attendance by at least
30%. So think about a pie or ice cream fellowship, or a full
blown covered dish dinner! This will also give you
more people to involve."
"Give yourself plenty of
time to promote an event. Get excited!! If you
don't show any excitement about it, your people won't
either."
"Invite other churches.
Don't assume they wouldn't have any interest in joining you.
We've seen as many as 10 churches join together for one
concert. Especially invite the smaller churches in
your area, who can't necessarily afford to have a lot of
events of their own."
"Use all of the free tools
at your disposal. Print posters to put up all over
your church, local businesses, etc.. Send a notice to
all of the free ad services like Christian Radio, or your
state paper, community happenings announcements, etc.."
"Announce early on that
we're coming on a love offering basis. Many churches
are worried about being able to take care of a group then
don't help themselves in many of the ways that they can.
Make sure people know the group is coming on a love
offering, are a full-time group, and this is their only
source of income. If other churches are joining in,
ask them to let their people know as well. A good way
to promote the love offering is mentioning that most pay
$8-$25 for a concert these days. If you're one of
those that hates it when groups asks for that, then be sure to
give well to a group like this that asks for no minimum
fee and no high ticket price."

Sons of The Father is Les, Chris and Brent Snyder.
Now in his thirty-third year on the road, Les had been doing
an itinerant music ministry, when his sons joined him in
1989. Their ministry takes them from the largest churches
and conventions in America to some of the smallest in rural
and sparsely populated areas. They have recorded 17 times
together and Brent also has a solo recording.
Before college, Les sang with
a number of church oriented groups, then
spent about three years in Southeastern
Asia with Military Intelligence. He
worked in local church ministries for
eleven years prior to the beginning of
his solo ministry in 1976. Sons, Chris
and Brent who are products of Liberty
University, Lynchburg, Virginia, added a
new dimension to an already busy
ministry. Together, they do accompanied
vocals which vary in style from Gaither
Vocal Band to the acappella hymns and
spirituals arranged by the trio.
Unlike many other full-time groups, they still
minister on a love-offering plus travel expense basis. At
times, they do three and four day revivals, presenting the
music as well as the spoken word. Mixing music and quoting
portions of The Word of God, as well as traditional sermons
add a unique touch to their ministry.
Sons of The Father have sung on many national platforms.
Such as: SBC Convention Pastor's Conference, SBC Convention
Evangelism Conference, National Renewal Conference, National
Campers on Missions, American Indian Crusade, James Messer
Bible Conferences, and more. They've also sung for many
state conferences. Such as: Alabama, Kentucky, Illinois, N/S
Dakota, Montana, Colorado, Alaska and Oklahoma.
